STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®

All garments in our UV protection collections are certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class 1. We only use certified materials and ingredients for our caps and hats.

A prerequisite for the certification of textile products according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is that all components of an article meet the required criteria without exception - in addition to the outer fabric, for example, also the sewing threads, interlinings, prints, etc. as well as non-textile accessories such as buttons, zips, rivets, etc. In their entirety, the requirements go well beyond existing national laws.

The tests for harmful substances include:

• Substances prohibited by law such as carcinogenic dyes
• legally regulated chemicals such as formaldehyde, plasticisers, heavy metals or pentachlorophenol
• Substances that, according to current knowledge, are harmful to health but are not yet legally regulated or banned, such as pesticides, allergenic dyes or organotin compounds.
• Parameters such as colour fastness and a skin-friendly pH value, which serve to protect the health of the consumer.

Why you should look more closely at the test seal

Good to know

The test label must include a test number in the footer. If the test number is missing, it may indicate that only one product from the manufacturer's entire range has been tested - but not necessarily this one. It may also indicate that only one component of the product (e.g. only the thread) has been tested for harmful substances, but not the complete product.
